We are sure most of you here today have already visited us at Paper Fashions, Etc. and joined in on all the fun and FREE gifts this week. Today on Paper Fashions, Etc. we shared with you this fun little mini album created to use and carry in your purse, include in a card, etc. It measures 3-3/4 by 2-1/2" so it is very compact but can hold alot of photos.
To create this album you will first need to cut two strips of card stock 3-1/2" x 11" and then score each at 2-1/2", 5", 7-1/2", 10".
Next, crease each score line well.
Then add Sticky Strip to the 1" strips....see the photo below.
Overlap the two short ends over a 2-1/2" section. This gives you one long accordion strip.
Next, we cut two pieces of chipboard 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". Also, cut two pieces of patterned paper 3-1/2" x 4-1/4".
Once you have glued the chipboard to the "wrong" side of you patterned paper, fold over the edges (corners first) and glue down like the photo below.
Next, you adhere the front and back covers to first and last "page" of the album. Make sure the valleys and mountains fold correctly before you glue everything together.
Cut a piece of ribbon 20" long and add a piece of sticky strip to the center section of the front cover.
Then fold your ribbon in half and adhere just the same section of ribbon to the front of your album.
Wrap the back piece around and tie on the side.
Here is what your mini album will look like open. You are ready to add photos or sayings or any goodies you want.
If you are looking for fun new papers to create one of these mini albums with, check out the new papers we recently added to the store from My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket, and October Afternoon. These are fast becoming some of our favorites.
