Sometimes it is fun to do a simple card and then take that card and "kick it up a notch". The first, simple format we did at a quick card class. Some of the group thought it was enough to have to color:):)
The stamp is a new single stamp image from Stampin' Up! called Pleasant Poppies. Part of the stamp is stamped in black and colored in with ink pads and a blender pen. The words are from a retired set. The ribbon was dyed with an ink pad and dauber.
Now, below is the same card but more!
The flowers were colored in a little more and there are at least two layers over each flower...a couple have three. A threaded button was added to the center of the sentiment and on two of the flowers, a little black liquid applique was added for dimension.
The original stamped flowers were colored as well. We also added a little more color around the edges with a dauber and a marker was used to add some color to the white dimensionals so they don't show up as easily.
Thanks for stopping! Be sure to come back to Freebie Friday tomorrow! Two Paper Divas - Melissa and Gayla
