Our First Guest Designer – Angeline Choo

We told you to expect some fun, new things in 2015!  We have our first guest designer today, Angeline Choo from Malaysia, and she will be sharing a card or project with us on each remaining Monday throughout January. (Doesn’t it sound like she traveled far!!!)

We have enjoyed communicating back and forth with Angeline for the last few months and asked her to share a little “history” with us. Here is what she said:

Before 2012, I knew absolutely nothing about scrapbooking. And so fate has it that I chanced upon a discount site where a local scrapbook store was selling a mini album kit. I needed one and thought it’d be fun to try. Soon, I was buying tons of scrappy stuff, watching countless crafty videos and reading lots of craft magazines! It was a fun (and very addictive) new hobby to me and I absolutely LOVE it. Being able to explore new things and at the same time preserving those oh-so-precious memories is just priceless!
I love spending my time in my scrappy room making cards, mini albums, art journals, 3D projects, mixed media art … anything scrappy, I just love it!
Right now – I am so blessed to be on a few Design Teams, having my cards published on magazines, teaching scrappy classes and meeting so many talented people along the way.
Be sure to visit her blog, ScrappyScrappy.
Today’s card is made with our Flower Silhouette single stamp and Faber Castell Gelatos.  Many of you may not be familiar with the technique Angeline used so you will definitely want to visit her blog for all the details.   She did use the Gelatos directly on the stamp and then lightly misted the stamp which is what gives this beautiful watercolor effect.
She also used Prima Color Bloom spray to create the splatter background.  This is a product we aren’t familiar with and may have to look into a little further.  From what we can tell, it is called a Mica Shimmer Mist and comes in lots of colors, of course.  It can be sprayed in two ways – splattered or full coverage.  Sounds like fun.

Be sure to visit Scrappy Scrappy for all the details as she provides the exact colors she used and a few more directions.  Angeline will be back next Monday with an adorable card using our Tea Cups.
Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with Angeline and Two Paper Divas – Melissa and Gayla

Hi Angeline and welcome to TWO PAPER DIVAS as a Guest Designer. As one for TWO PAPER DIVAS, I feel I can say Thank You from each of us for sharing your talent with all of us on this Monday. Gelatos are such a kick to play with and they lend some fascinating results and your card represents a lot of that creativity. I look forward to enjoying your cards for these next Mondays and possibly more in the future.

Sending “joy” and “creativeness” from Colorado, USA!!!
