Ice Skating, anyone?

Today we are sharing one of our Paper Fashions, Etc. elements and one of the cutest stamps, to create this cheery but still so "wintery" card.

The Paper Fashions element comes from our set called Save the Date which includes two different perpetual style calendars and can be purchased using the PayPal button below or under the Paper Fashions button on the sidebar.

 

The base of the card is Naturals Ivory card stock from Stampin' UP! and the patterned paper is one from the Nook & Pantry selections.  The bottom was scalloped using the Scallop Trim border punch.  The Ice Skates are from the set called "On Ice" from Papertrey Ink as well as the die that cuts them out!!  The words also come from the "On Ice" stamp set.  Everything was sponged in Creamy Caramel ink.  The skates were attached together with twine and popped up using dimensionals.

Favor It Treat Box

Today's great little treat box features three of Papertrey's wonderful new dies, "Favor It Box #1".

 

We first cut the box using the Favor It die and Pink Pirouette card stock.  The box is super simple to put together, fold on the score lines, add a little adhesive to the sides and your done!

Next, we cut the front panel using the Mat Stack #1 die (which coordinates perfectly with the box) out of some very cute patterned paper from My Favorite Things.  Sponged the edges and glued it to the front.

The little cup is the third die we used from Papertrey.  After cutting the cup out using vanilla card stock we stamped on the cut out using one of the cups from the set called Tea For Two Additions, also from Papertrey.  They have so many stamp sets with coordinating dies that make such quick and cute projects.

Friendship Jar from PTI

You saw the Friendship Jar from Papertrey Ink that we used on another earlier this week. When we saw the Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers, well, there was no doubt we HAD to have this set, too!

Here we have combined the Holiday Fillers set from Paper Trey Ink with one of our Bingo cards.

A pocket was created for the front of this card using a small pink lunch sack that we embossed with the polka dot embossing folder. 

The "mug" of hot cocoa topped with marshmallows was colored with chalks, cut out and then popped up on the front of the sack.  Of course, we had to do some sponging.

The bag of coordinating miniature marshmallows fits perfectly in the pocket pouch.  Notice we even cut out the marshmallows for the topper. The pocket for this card is also a mini paper sack that we stitched around.  The Cocoa Bingo card also fits nicely in this special pocket.  Don't these mugs of cocoa look yummy!

In case you've missed details about Paper Fashions .... Friendship Jar for a Friend

Recently I made this card for one of my good friends and fellow stampers for her birthday.  I absolutely love the Friendship Jar and ALL the fillers from Papertrey Ink.

The jar is filled with these great flowers, stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored with Copic Markers.  I used Dusty Durango paper, ink and ribbon all from Stampin' Up! for her card.

 

The tag was stamped using Dusty Durango ink and the Fillable Frames #6 and the coordinating die, also from  Ink.  The background was stamped using Polka Dot Basics stamp set and Espresso ink.

 

A little sponging, a button and chocolate baker's twine complete the card.

Celebrate You Card Share

I havent' used a white craft pad in ages so I thought it was about time to bring it out and dust it off.  This stamp set, from Paper Trey, has lots of options to choose from but for this card I picked two of the three flowers and the words Celebrate You.

 

The backgroud was created by stamping the first flower image using a White Craft pad and stamped on Baja Breeze Card stock.  The second flower stamp (it has a leaf attached to it) I picked was used as the focal point for this card.  It was stamped in black ink on white card stock, colored with Copic markers, punched out then then layered again on a white scallop square, basic black and then another piece of Baja Breeze card stock.

 
An extra wide piece of ribbon, and a button with baker's twine finish it off !
