A Peppermint Holiday

Look how cute this peppermint-themed peppermint pattie holder turned out!  The holder is embellished with a red embossed belly band, candy canes and red and white Baker's twine.

Here is a look at the inside.  We decorated the peppermint patties using the clear peppermint stamp from our Mason Jar Accessories set #2.  We just can't get enough of that little stamp.  Love it!!  :)

Nugget Box or Pocket???

Actually, we say BOTH!  As promised, the pattern that was provided on last Friday's Freebie Friday post, has been used in a completely different way below.

How cute is this pocket.  Believe it or not, this is the exact pattern we used for the nugget "box".  We did line the inside of the pocket with a coordinating color of card stock and insert a note.  The note has been embellished with a couple of flowers and a pearl center.

It may not show up really well, but the card and pocket were spritzed with shimmer mist giving the overall card a glimmer, glittery look.  It shows up best on the pocket.  So, always look at any pattern or specific style and try to create another look.  Thanks for stopping!  Two Paper Divas - Melissa and Gayla

Freebie Friday - Free Pattern!

Today's Freebie Friday arrives in plenty of time for Easter.  We are sharing the pattern for this fun egg-shaped Easter basket.

This basket was made without a handle.  Cute flowered and plaid patterned paper, baker's twine and a flower embellishment really make this a fun basket.

 

This is the same egg-shaped basket but with a card stock handle added.  This basket was made from the same plaid paper from above.  It has been embellished with a lacey trim, ribbon and decorative stick pins.  The handle is card stock and ribbon.

You can see that you can use any kind of card stock, patterned paper or even stamped images to change the look for these Easter baskets.  Lots and lots of embellishments can be used to make this even more fun.

Wearing o' the Green!

Now that the pink and red holiday is past...we will soon be celebrating and wearing green.  Today, we are showcasing our new St. Patrick's Day digital set.  How cute is this hat?  We are sharing a printer-friendly pattern at the end of this post. 

And here is the inside of the card...it includes one of the sentiments from the new set.

This hat was printed on Naturals Ivory card stock and then embellished with polka dot patterned paper, ribbon, button, punches. There is even bling on the inside sentiment!  Lots of fun going on here.  The small shamrock is made with a small heart punch....notice how versatile a punch can be.

St. Patrick's Day

As promised, here is the pattern for the hat-shaped card shown above.  This pattern will print 2 to a page.

Pizza??? Not!

REVISED to add the much requested recipe!  :)

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

½ c. butter, softened                 1 tsp. vanilla

½ c. shortening                          2 eggs

¾ c. sugar                                  2-1/3 c. flour

¾ c. brown sugar                       1 tsp. baking soda

¾ c. creamy peanut butter                                 

2 c. peanut butter cups. chopped

Cream butter, shortening and sugars together.  Add in peanut butter,

 then eggs, one at a time.  Next add vanilla.  Add flour and baking soda

 and mix well.  Stir in peanut butter cups.  Drop by rounded tablespoons

on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes at 350 degrees.

 DO NOT over bake!!!  Let cool 2-3 minutes before removing from cookie

sheet.

It has been awhile since we made a mini pizza box and thought it would be a fun way to give a tasty treat as well as the recipe.  If you have not made one of these and need the measurements, we have added a "printer-friendly" button that will make it easy for you to get these at the end of the post.

 
If you haven't tried this recipe before AND you love peanut butter and chocolate.....it is a great, tasty treat.  We printed the recipe, added some faux stitching and sponging to the edges and attached it to the top inside of the pizza box.

 

The supplies used:  SU! Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock, My Mind's Eye Hattie patterned paper, SU! Word Play stamp set and jumbo brad, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel ink, and Chocolate Chip marker (for faux stitching)

You can't really see it but, we added a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock that we ran through the crimper so that we would have a corrugated piece on the bottom of our pizza box.  It is the little extra things that make it so fun.  Think how fun this would be to give and Halloween or Christmas!

Two Style Tuesday - Bonnet

Today we made a fun bonnet card that would be perfect for Mother's Day!  We used the following supplies:  card stock - Rose Red and Vanilla; Framed Tulip and Square Lattice embossing folders; Springtime Vintage patterned paper

 

The brim of her hat opens to share a message.  We made this a Mother's Day card but any fun message would work.  Change the color of this hat and you would have a great Red Hat card.

 
Now, let's add a few more layers and embellishments to dress it up a bit.

 

Other supplies we added:  card stock - Baja Breeze, buttons, Crystal Effects and glitter

Chick-a-dee!!

How cute are these!!

 

Tomorrow on MeGa Stampin Studio, we will be sharing a very cute "bunny" egg holder.  The pattern for both is included on both sites. 

There will be step-by-step instructions on how to do the bunny egg holder.  The chick is done in the same fashion.  Here is the "pattern" for the chick.  Simply print it out and make your own chicks.

 

Another fun to "wrap" your eggs;  make your own grass.

 
Cut a strip of green card stock, snip some fringe, add a flower and glue together!
