The Last Two Holiday Recipes!

The 6x6 recipe below has a homespun country flair and is done in the traditional red and green theme.  The peppermints are from our Peppermint Holiday digital collection.  They are popped up and glittered.  And, of course, every thing has been sponged.

 The recipe below is also traditional red and green but completely different than the above recipe.  The snowman from Snow Much Fun is colored and cut out.  You can't see all the background detail but is was stamped in green and then gone over with a glitter pen.  The card is embellished with pleated Cherry Cobbler ribbon.

More Holiday Recipes

We shared two recipes from our holiday class last week and promised you more.  Below are two more of the recipe cards we made.

This card has several fun embellishments added - sponged and glittered snowflake with button center, embossed snowflake with punched greenery and berries and the cute little sponged and glittered star is from the snowflake center.  We love adding faux stitching.

The card below has a very fancy flower on it.  We aren't sure if all the detail really shows but the flower is several layers and all have been coated with Crystal Lacquer.  The yellow rhinestone in the center was colored with an yellow Sharpie.  The background was made with a sponge dauber and then SU! Dazzling Details was added to the dots.

Holiday Recipes!

Last night was our annual Holiday Cookie/Candy recipe class.  Three of us (Melissa, Gayla and Patti) have done this class for several years....we think around 6 or 7 years.  We always have a great time and it is one of our most popular classes. 

We make six 6x6 recipe cards and all the recipes are available for tasting.  Here are two of the recipes from last night's class.  We'll share the other four later on.

How cute is this old fashioned paper.  Everything has been sponged, glittered and the touch of red just pops.  Buttons, twine and a star stick pin finish off this vintage-looking recipe.

The recipe below is a little more traditional - red and green.  Faux stitching and glittered die-cut snowflakes embellish this card.  Of course, everything was sponged....even the seam binding was sponged.

Two More Summer Recipes!

Here are the last two recipes we did for the June 6x6 recipe class.  The first is a blackberry cobbler; just in time for blackberry season. 

The card base is kraft card stock. Red, navy and vanilla card stock are used as well.  The recipe is embellished with star patterned paper, red and white baker's twine, faux stitching and a stamped pie colored with Copic markers.

The second recipe is perfect for the grill - Cilantro Lime Chicken.

The card base is vanilla and red card stock is used as well.  The recipe is layered on fun denim-looking paper.  The recipe is embellished with punched stars, buttons and more baker's twine.  Notice the recipe title and one of the stars has tiny bits of bling.  Fun! Fun! Fun!

Patriotic 6x6 Recipes

The June recipe class was a patriotic theme as well as recipes great for the BBQ or a picnic.  The first recipe is a Cobb Pasta Salad that does NOT use mayo so it is a great dish to take to an outdoor get-together.

The card is made with vanilla card stock and a red patterned paper from Jillibean called Red Beans.  The recipe has black faux stitching and is embellished with sponged seam binding and stars punched, sponged, glittered and popped up on sponged toothpicks.

The recipe below is a great one for the grill.

Notice, this card is made only with card stock - no patterned paper. (very rare, these days:))  The card stock is navy, red and white.  The card is embellished with a red and navy star brad....some we dug out of our "stash."

Two More Recipes!

Here are the last two recipes from the May recipe class at Remember This. 

How fun is this patterned paper.  We didn't want to anything that was going to cover it all up.  The recipe is layered on two coordinating colors.  The card is embellished with ribbon and a triple layer die cut yellow flower with a red button center.

The next recipe also uses a great stripe paper that we love....pink and brown theme!!

The recipe actually lifts out of the pocket....almost like a tag.  It has been faux stitched and embellished with a button and twine.  The dark brown "pocket" was punched with a border punch and embellished with pink satin ribbon.

Two 6x6 Recipes

Here are two of the May recipes from the class at Remember This.

How bright and fun is this card...perfect for summer.  The recipe is embellished with ribbon, a button and a rolled felt flower.

The next recipe is the one the class got to sample....also perfect for summer!

Strawberries, strawberries everywhere.  We love this paper and the cupcake is one of our digital images.  The strawberry topper was cut from patterned paper and topped with Crystal Lacquer.  Lots of fun embellishments added - buttons, ribbon, paper strips and embossed die cuts.

Two More "Jarful" Recipes

 Here are the other two recipes from our April recipe class using our digital jar image.  The first recipe below was printed directly onto the digital image.

The card base is brown and the patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Root Cellar collection.  The lid is colored with a Copic marker and red grosgrain ribbon adds a touch of color.  Notice the tomato cut out and popped up as an added embellishment.

The next recipe has a much smaller jar (minus the lid) used as a vase.   The flower stem is just a free-hand cut strip of green paper and the leaf is half of a heart punch.  The small gingham flower was punched, sponged and popped up.  Notice the very tiny black button with a little piece of thread, in the center.

The card base is black and the gingham patterned paper is also from the Cosmo Cricket's Root Cellar collection.  An eyelet border punch and three black eyelets were also used to embellish this recipe.

Mini Oreo Surprise Cupcakes

Here is the recipe that Remember This made for a 4-H group project.  A few months back, Melissa designed a recipe for this group and they had such a good time, they are doing another.

How cute are the mini Oreos at the top of the recipe and the even smaller ones on the top of the cupcakes.

As you can see, you can do so much with punches, dies and embossing folders - cupcakes, Oreos, and the border punch along the bottom of the recipe.  Black and white gingham ribbon was added as an embellishment.

Two "Jarful" Recipes

 This month, for the recipe card class at Remember This, we used our Mason Jar digital image.  All four recipes were done using this image but they all looked completely different.

Below are two of the recipes. The recipe below has a row of mason jars printed on the bottom of the base card.  Three jars were colored with Copic markers and one was cut out and popped up.  Notice the strip of banner pieces "sewn" together.  These are purchased this way and so much fun to use.

The recipe below has one larger jar filled with Oreos.  How fun.  These cookies were made with circle punches...even the filling.  A fun combination of turquoise, white and black AND of course, polka dots.
