Two More "Green" Recipes!

We already shared two of the "green" recipes from our March recipe class.  Here are the other two.  The first one is a great dip recipe and this was one of the recipes the group got to taste.

The card base is made with a dark brown, rust and white card stock.  The flowers, leaves and fence are dies from My Favorite Things.  The flowers were embossed with a polka dot embossing folder and then sponged.

This next "green" recipe is a salad.  We will soon be in to fresh garden items so you will have this in time for fresh corn! 

This 6x6 card was made with black and white card stock.  The patterned paper coordinate with the above patterned paper - it is the flip side.  There were two slots punched in the two corners and black grosgrain ribbon was tied through them.  The word window punch was used three time but trimmed to create a graduated stack of punches.  The whole stack was embellished with a wooden button threaded with button twine.

"Green" Recipe Cards!

Last night we had a recipe class at Remember This and we wanted to share two of the recipe cards with you.  We used "green" as our theme since St. Patrick's Day is this Saturday.  We designed our cards using quite a bit of green paper, embellishments, etc. AND our recipes had something green in them!  It was a fun idea.

The recipe card below is made with black, green, red and white card stock and a flowered patterned paper.  The red flowers is a My Favorite Things die and the black centers are from a punch and topped with Crystal Lacquer.  The wooden buttons have been threaded with green button twine and we added faux stitching with a fine black marker around the recipe.

This next recipe is designed with the flip side of the patterned paper from the above recipe.  This recipe also uses black, green and white card stock.  We used the same green twine and wrapped it around the bottom of the recipe and threaded a button through the twine.  The black layer has been punched with a decorative scalloped punch.  And, finally, it may not show up really well, but we covered a mini clothespin with the same patterned paper....love them:)

We usually make a couple of our recipes for the class to try.  The Pistachio Inside Outside cake was one that we made and everyone loved it.  We'll share the awesome dip from last night at a later date.  This cake would be a great treat for Saturday....it's green and good!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Chocolate Truffles!

We survived the Grand Opening and it was a big success....we had so much fun and really appreciated all of you who stopped in to see us.   Since it is Valentine's Day - Happy Valentine's Day - we wanted to share this recipe and cute box Tracey made for the open house!

These were a BIG hit with everyone.  In fact, when we took pictures, there was only one truffle left!  Tracey used our digital set, It's All About Chocolate - it has that cute "candy" image in the set.

Nilla Turtle Cookie Balls!

We hope you have tried some of our holiday recipe cards we have been sharing over the last few weeks.  This is the last card we have from our Holiday recipe class.

These fun penguins are from the SU! set, Polar Party.  You may not be able to tell it, BUT the penguin bodies have all been cut out and popped up.  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and White card stock have been used.  The recipe has black faux stitching added.  Small snowflakes. Old Olive Scallop Dots ribbon and Dazzling Details have been added for fun embellishments.  All images were colored with markers.

Hearty Holiday Cookies

We hope you are enjoying all these fun recipe cards as much as we love sharing them.  While we love to make 3-D projects and cards, since we both love to cook as well as stamp, we really enjoy these recipe cards.

Here is another fun cookie recipe!

This card is made with Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and vanilla card stock.  The patterned paper is retired.  The large oval, word window, ticket corner and scallop trim border punches were used on this card.  Stampin' Up's Serene Snowflakes and Sweet Season stamp sets were used.  The house is cut out and popped up.  The three word window punches were embellished with gold brads.

Magic Bars!

 How fun is this cookie....simple but very rich!  These Magic Bars and moist and gooey.

The recipe card is made with Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler and white card stock.  The bells are stamped on brushed silver metallic paper.  The bells are from the SU! set, Bells & Boughs.  All pieces are stamped and cut out.  Cherry Cobbler seam binding was used to embellish the card.

Holiday Cream Cheese Mints

We are sharing another fun 6x6 recipe card from our Holiday Cookie/Candy class.  These mints are one that everyone in Melissa's family request for ALL celebrations - baby or wedding showers...these were even made for the latest wedding reception for Angie and Colby.

The card is made with white and Cherry Cobbler card stock, Cosmo Cricket patterned paper.  Notice the "icicles" on the top of the card....these are made using the My Favorite Things grass die.  They are covered with glittered.  The snowflake is also from MFT.  The ribbon on the bottom is Stampin' Up's Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon.....fun!

Pumpkin Cupcakes

Below is a great fall recipe and as well as a fun layout.  The 6x6 recipe card is made with retired Only Orange card stock as well as black and white card stock.  A piece of black and white patterned paper is layered on the black piece.

The three pumpkin layer is a "flap" that folds open so you can read the whole recipe.  The middle pumpkin is popped up.  Faux stitching has been added to the recipe and pumpkin layer.  The recipe has been embellished with two orange eyelets.

The Smell of Fall!!

What makes the house smell better than a crock pot full of homemade apple butter.  As we promised here is another recipe card from our class.  This is one the Patti made.  If you don't have a favorite apple butter recipe, definitely give this one a try. 

The 6x6 recipe card is made with Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Perfect Plum and Vanilla card stock.  The background is stamped with an apple stamp.  The bowl of apples is from the SU! set, Studio Sketches.  The entire recipe has been outlined with a fine black marker creating faux stitching.

Body Bits Dip - Just in time for Halloween!!!

A couple of weeks ago, three of us (Melissa, Gayla and Patti) had a Fall/Halloween recipe card class.  This are always so much fun.  We usually do two around Christmas but decided to do a fall and Christmas one this year.  We are going to share some of the recipe cards we made with you over the next couple of weeks.  Not only did the ladies make the recipe cards but they got to sample all six dishes.

This first one is called Body Bits Dip...you know, dip with bits floating around:):) 

 

The supplies used are Basic Black, Only Orange and White card stock.  A polka dot embossing folder was used.  Everything was sponged with Basic Gray ink.  The card was embellished with black grosgrain ribbon, orange eyelets and bats punched with a retired punch.
