Grand Opening!!!

Tomorrow is the big day!  Melissa's store in Gardner, Kansas, Remember This, opens.  If you are local or in the area and visiting or decide to make a day trip, stop in and visit us.  We will both be at the store tomorrow.  There will be lots going on and here is a sneak peek of the make and take you can do if you stop by.

 

We have a tutorial explaining this technique if you aren't familiar with it.  But what a fun idea for Valentine's Day.  Actually, we have used it for several occasions.  Keep reading and we'll share some of those links for other ideas.

It's Tea Time!

We have lots to share today.  We not only have a new digital stamp set but we have a new tutorial as well.

This Tea Time Box tutorial is full of step-by-step instructions as well as detailed photos.  The pattern for the smaller box is included in the tutorial as well as instructions to change the size of the box - easily.  The larger box needs a 12" piece of card stock or patterned paper and most regular printers don't print that so we give instructions for increasing the size.  This box is lots of fun and would be perfect for many occasions.  We have shown our box filled with tea bags or Ghiradelli chocolates but we are sure there are many other things you will find.

Bigger than a Bread Box?

Well, no, but this fun box is perfect for bread but we also found it can hold so many other fun gifts.

This box is made with glitter paper and retired patterned paper.  It is embellished with Baja Breeze seam binding and small tag.  The measurements for the base of this box are approximately - 3-1/2" x 6-1/4".  It is about 4-1/4" tall not counting the handles.

Bread Box Tutorial

This project is quick, easy and can be used for not only bread but we also rolled up a t-shirt, baby clothes, cookies, cupcakes/muffins....you get the idea.  It will definitely hold more than just small loaves of bread.

 

Here is the box open on one side so you can see the inside.  The tutorial does give you specifics for this Christmas/holiday box BUT we shared another idea for Valentine's Day above.

Merrry Christmas Wrap Around Box

If you've been following along this week, you know that we created and shared a new tutorial for a Wrap Around box on Saturday.  As promised, here is one more idea using this tutorial.

This idea is perfect with gift giving season just around the corner.  Why not get a jump start and create some of these boxes ahead of time.  The supplies used are:  Stampin' Up! Blushing Bride, Real Red and Whisper White card stock; retired SU! Christmas paper, Large and X-Large tag punches, Blushing Bride 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon, silver cord.

 
The box on this sample was NOT glued to the wrap around piece so that it can slide in and out without undoing the ribbon.  Two holes were punched through the wrap around piece and ribbon strung through.

 

Isn't this a great idea for a small gift, candy, or even a gift card!

Special Wedding Gift Box

Last Saturday we shared with you our newest tutorial, "the Wrap Around Box".

There are so many ideas that come to mind using this great tutorial but today we are sharing with you this wonderful, crisp, and fresh wedding box - great for a wedding gift or bridal shower.

 
We used two different patterned papers from SU! (retired Bride Paper) The inside is striped and the wrap around piece is done in the swirled pattern.

 

Here is a close up of the flowers that were made using die cuts from Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things. Glittery bling was added to all the flower edges.

Another Pedestal Pillow Box

Remember when we shared with you the masculine pedestal pillow box that looked like a shirt and tie?

Well, here's another example that was created by Diane using Cosmo Cricket paper and flowers!  We love the flower on this box....lots of dimension as each layer has been "painted" with a thin coat of Crystal Effects.

 
This pedestal pillow box is perfect for any age or gender and holds a small gift, gift card, party favors....it is very versatile.  We have shared a birthday, a masculine and this adorable flower samples.  Hopefully this gives you a few ideas of your own!

Masculine Pedestal Pillow Box

With Father's Day fast approaching, we thought it was the perfect time to redo our Pedestal Pillow Box and show you a fun way to "do-it-up" for the guy in your life.

 
We actually created a collar and tie to fit on the box.  Of course, you could leave off the tie and just add buttons down the front.

 
As you can see from this side view, this pillow box actually stands on its own.  You can purchase this tutorial for only $3.95 by going here or the link provided at the start of this post.  Don't forget, you can easily turn this into a lady's blouse by making the collar lacey and adding fun buttons, flowers, or a small embellished pocket.

They're Back!!!!

Back by popular demand are our Organizational Boxes.  If you'll recall, we have done several different organizational boxes - most of them for our 6x6 recipes.  But, we did create one to hold our embossing folders - a perfect fit.  Here is the first one we did - it is now full so we decided to use some fun papers to do another one.

 
We used Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday - Sunday patterned paper.  It has been embellished with Kiwi Kiss ribbon, a flower out of Not Quite Navy card stock and a jumbo Blushing Bride button.  We normally generate computizered labels, but wanted to show you that it is easy enough to hand-write just what you need.
